چکیده

Soils developed on serpentine rocks have serious limitations for agriculture. Intensive agriculture and forestry activities are carried out in the lands southwest of Turkey. Because lack information about heavy metal contents some important soil physic-chemical properties soils this area especially were aimed to be determined study. The results study showed that total Cd (5.4-6.8 mg kg-1) concentrations with plant available fraction ranging from 0.52% 0.90% high. Total Ni (61%) Co (44%) samples found at high levels. Plant Cr ranged between 0.08%-8.52% 0.007%-0.56% respectively. In addition, very levels Fe (17039-50883 Mn (218-1790 examined soils. Zn (33.0-87.5 Cu (8.8-99.9 within given limit values (≤ 140 kg-1 300 Zn). With regard macronutrients, 70% N, 61% P, 56% K 87% Ca adequate present demonstrated first 10 principal components an eigenvalue greater than 1 could explain 89.74% variation population.

Comparison of ectomycorrhizas of Quercus garryana (Fagaceae) on serpentine and non-serpentine soils in southwestern Oregon.

The diversity of ectomycorrhizal communities associated with Quercus garryana on and off serpentine soils was compared and related to landscape-level diversity. Serpentine soils are high in magnesium, iron, and heavy metals and low in fertility. In plant communities on serpentine soils, a high proportion of flowering plant species are endemic. At three sites with paired serpentine and nonserpen...

Heavy metals in water, sediment and tissues of Leuciscus cephalus from a stream in southwestern Turkey.

Concentrations of heavy metals (Cd, Cr, Cu, Pb and Zn) were measured in water, bottom sediment and tissues (muscle and gills) of Leuciscus cephalus from the Dipsiz stream in the Yatagan basin (southwestern Turkey), the site of a thermal power plant. Results for levels in water were compared with national and international water quality guidelines, as well as literature values were reported for ...
